Explanations on Drawing Composition
I’m a percussionist* and I’m sure that the objects I’m dealing with have dreams:
A drum has dreams, the dustpan has dreams of beautiful dirt, the nail has dreams of the perfect hammer – and vice versa.
And of course the sheep dreams of clover.
In 1992, I dreamed some of these dreams and realized them with a pen and an archaic digital drawing program – as individual images or as a kind of wallpaper.
Since then I think a lot about Zeug. Like Heidegger.
*The german term for percussionist is Schlagzeuger. The two components of the word are: Schlag – beat, Zeug – stuff, thing
DREAMS OF A THING – drawing with a pen
DREAMS OF A THING – drawing archaic digital
DREAMS OF A THING – wallpaper
