How to be

Stephan Froleyks was born in Kleve, Germany, in 1962 and works internationally as a composer, performer and sound artist. He has received several grants and art prizes, his compositions, installations, radio pieces, multimedia works and theater music have been commissioned for WDR, Radio Bremen and Deutschlandradio, among others, and are shown at many festivals (Donaueschingen, Witten, Dresden, London, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo. ..) listed. Stephan Froleyks is a professor of percussion and music of other cultures at the University of Münster’s University of Music. The press attests that he has “a loose wrist, a love of playing and intelligent shaping“.

In addition to his artistic activities, he works as an author and curator of music and sound art festivals and is a member of the Berlin Academy of the Arts.
